'Made in Blackpool' is an evening celebrating four short films made in Blackpool by House of Tales Ltd. and Out of the Ark Productions.
The screenings will feature a lineup of four incredible short films, including the premiere screening of ‘Changing Tides’, a House of Tales film in Association with Out of the Ark Productions.
Based on truth, ‘Changing Tides’ is about end-of-life alcoholism and finding hope in unexpected places.
A 'making of' documentary will follow the screening of this film.
Also showing, ‘Prefer to Sip Tea’, a film by House of Tales and Out of the Ark Productions, about PTSD and not knowing what people go through on a daily basis.
Plus, Out of the Ark Productions ‘Eigengrau’ and ‘Eigengrau: Half-Life’ double bill. Close your eyes. What do you see? You may think you see black, but you don’t. What you see is Eigengrau.
But that's not all! Following the screening, there will be a special filmmakers' Q&A, where you'll have the opportunity to gain insights into the creative processes behind these films.
Content warning: The films contain scenes of suicide, implied sexual violence, addiction, and death, so may not be suitable for under 15s.
Tickets are only £5 each (excluding booking fee) and all proceeds will be donated to Nacoa and The AA 12 Step Programme. General release tickets go on sale on 1 September 2023.
